Latest Update From PSN website: It appears to still be oblivious to the fact that the PSN is down and has been for over 25 days.

[ May 13, 10:27 am]:
It appears like Blogger had some troubles and deleted all my recent posts, including all the updates for this post. The PlayStation Network is still not up so we have to keep waiting. Although I'm guessing we will have the network back up anytime time soon since I've been told that there's people all over the world testing the network right now. I guess when Sony gathers all their data, which should be soon, we will all get access to the PSN. Until then we should sit tight and keep checking back here for the latest.

[ May 13, 4:26 pm]:
The people at Veracode have been doing some extensive homework, check out their theories on what really happened in the PS3s hacking and who was behind it all. One interesting theory suggests that it could have been one of the 205 people who got their job at Sony Online Entertainment terminated. It seems very possible, what do you think? They could have used the whole commotion with Anonymous to their advantage and attacked the Network with their access, I mean they DID have access and they were probably mad for getting fired.

[ May 13, 7:48 pm]:
It looks like today will not be our day. Sony will definitely not turn on the PSN today since it is Friday the 13th.

[ May 14, 6:23 am]:
Today better be a good day. I really hope Sony shares some news with us today! I will be mad, they have not told us anything for days! Even then, we should cut Sony some slack as this video explains:
[ May 14, 5:04 pm]: Update from Sony on the PlayStation Blog!
Is it on or not? I guess only some people are lucky to have it on, but don't worry it's getting there. Click on the map to see if your area has online yet:

[May 30]: I see this post is still getting a lot of views so I will continue to post updates on the PSN. As of right now, just about everyone has online functionality restored. It's China that's still in the ruins... Another thing that might be floating around in your head is the PlayStation Store. well that is not up yet. If we can believe Sony, then it should be up and running by tomorrow! :) [May 31]: Today Sony has finally told us some good news. By the end of this week the PlayStation Network will be fully restored! This time it's for reals. Here's What's coming: • Full functionality on PlayStation®Store • In-game commerce • Ability to redeem vouchers and codes • Full functionality on Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for PS3, PSP, VAIO and other PCs • Full functionality on Media Go They are still planning on offering customers a “Welcome Back” package of services and premium content to anybody with a PSN account. Sony also mentions that this is
"Only available for those countries with access to PlayStation®Store."
And finally this last bit might matter to you:
"Video on Demand powered by Qriocity™ and Music Unlimited powered by Qriocity for a variety of network-enabled Sony devices will be announced later."
So that means we'll have to wait a little longer for those things to come back, they are basically saying they probably wont come back on with the PlayStation Store.
